While the spring sun is shining on the white snow outside, inside the workshop alot of work has been done on Tubize boiler renovation. After hard work almost all the tubes are already in theri place and the smoke box ends are expanded. After all the tubes are in it is the time to call the welder on the site to weld the fire box end of the tubes.

Even though the track of Jokioinen Museum Railway is covered by a thick layer of snow, the work shop keeps running like it has been all the winter. On the locomotive side there are two locomotives under reparation. The TU4 diesel locomotive has been undergoing service and upgrades of some of its systems. The JR 4 Tubize steam locomotive is going through a boiler renovation. Work with the Hyvinkää-Karkkila railway coach is also continuing.

The event calendar and timetable of Jokioinen Museum Railway for operating season 2013 have been published. The season starts like always with the Minkiö Antique Car Day at Minkiö station on Sunday July 2. There will be no long speeches on that day but old and also newer antique cars filling the Minkiö station and old steam trains running on narrow rails.

The annual autumn meeting of the Museum Railway Association operating the Jokioinen Museum Railway was held in Minkiö at Kiipu village hall on Saturday 24.11. 2012.

The annual meeting elected a new board of directors for year 2013. The following existing board members have been elected to serve one year terms starting in January 2013: Marko Laine from Helsinki as a chairman, Lauri Niemi from Vantaa as a vice charirman, Teemu Virtanen from Lahti as a secretary, Lea Harjula from Jokioine  as a treasury.
