Minkiö Veteran Car Day and celebrating 125 years of Jokioinen railway

Jokioinen Railway 125 years!

This year, the opening of the operating season combines two summer events on the same day: Minkiö veteran car day and Humppila day.

During the day, there are additional trains running between Humppila and Minkiö, so it is easy for everyone to participate in both events. In addition, the Jokioinen railway turns 125 years old this year and it will be celebrated on the first day with a special train that runs between Minkiö and Jokioinen stations.

The opening Sunday of the museum railway's operating season has been a gathering event for old automobile enthusiasts for nearly twenty years. The veteran automobiles are welcome again this year at Minkiö station!

The Jokioinen Museum Railway offers two free tickets on the museum train (the ticket can be used at any time during the summer of 2023) and a cup of coffee for two people for every vintage car left on display in the museum parking lot. Please also bring a sign that introduces the car.

At Humppila's old station the station's cafe is open all day and people can set up their tables for selling things.

Between Humppila station and Minkiö, a specia Humppila day steam train will be running.

You can also take the train to Santavaihde halt sheltered picnic area and return to Humppila on the next train.

- You can also become a market seller at Humppila station. There is a lot of space in Asemapuisto. Remember to bring your own sales table or stall! There is no charge for points of sale.
