On Monday 22 June, the 150th anniversary of the Turku-Toijala railway line was celebrated at Humppila station. The celebrations included the reopening of the Humppila state railway station to the public. The Museum Railway Association and the Finnish Railway Historical Society are renting the Loimaa end of the station, and the Finland 100 Years railway diorama will be on display there during the summer season. The diorama depicts the history of an imaginary Finnish railway station in three different years between 1917 and 2017. The diorama can be viewed when the station café is open.
In addition to the Humppila broad-gauge railway station, there were also activities on the day of the festival at the Humppila museum railway station on the other side of the track. From the museum railway station, a steam train operated to the nearby Kermala stop and back. At times, the train was almost packed with passengers, but everyone always managed to fit on board.
