The cosmetically at Jokioinen Museum Railway restored steam locomotive number 3 of Hyvinkää-Karkkila railway was transported back to Karkkila on Saturday 21.10. 2006. The locomotive was placed on display in the lobby of the city hall of Karkkila.

The locomotive weighting about 35 tons was lifted in Minkiö with help of two mobile cranes and loaded on a flatbed truck. In Karkkila the locomotive was lifted atop of about 30 m long temporary track that lead through a hole made on the wall of the city hall. The locomotive was the pushed in its place with a tractor. The Karkkila city hall is an ex foundry of Högfors that was before served by Hyvinkää-Karkkila railway. Indoors the locomotive will be also protected against the elements and vandalism.

The locomotive number 3 was built by Tampella locomotive works in Tampere Finland in 1910 with a builders number 157. The builders plates were accidentally changed with another locomotive already at the builders and the locomotive has always been carrying wrong builders number 158. The locomotive weighting about 35 tons in working order is the first locomotive of type Hb 68 (LT). There were total of 3 similar locomotives built, all for Hyvinkää-Karkkila railway. The sister locomotive number 4 was built in 1911 and number 5 in 1917. Number 4 was scrapped in the beginning of 1970's and number 5 is operating at Jokioinen Museum Railway.

Number there is technically same as Loviisa-Wesijärvi number 6, but the locomotive has not a separate firewood and water tender. Number three has instead of that side tanks for water and small fuel bunker at the rear end of the locomotive for the firewood.

Originally number three was put on display at Karkkila bus station with three railway cars straight after the railway was closed down. Then the locomotive pulled its train on the location by a makeshift track made by track panels laid on the town streets. The locomotive and cars were transferred in 1993 to Jokioinen Museum Railway. The Museum Railway Association repaired cosmetically the locomotive and got the three railway cars for that work.
